The factory already said the 2080 catseye could be ordered as a 12 string. How about a matching 6 & 12 string longneck catseye adamas    I know that I'd be in. :D

If I were affluent enough to ask for an Adamas I Baritone right now it would be in Al's inbox! Is the 2080 an LX style neck on a GS bowl? That would be choice two. Presently I need to focus on Orthodontics and allowing my wife to go back to school. Ovation is doing amazing things and you can expect even more in the year to come. BTW - did anyone just happen to look behind the black curtains in the Engineering Dept.??? :D

You already have the 12 fret thing going even though it's 14 frets (cause you got an extra two). This is just my first reaction, tha factory may feel differently.

I believe (jump in) that my LX 12 string uses the same LX bracing pattern, just a larger Bridge. The neck, no doubt uses a little more carbon fiber or other engineered enforcements. The questions to ask are: Is a baritone bracing design available? Is a baritone neck for 6/12 available? Since the scale is just under 3" longer is that made up in the bridge positioning or in the neck length? When I first raised the question it was said that a longer Dual Action Truss Rod would be needed. I say move the bridge back use that new Fretboard cutter to change the scale on the existing ANS necks. Would that make it a 12 fret to body Longneck? Thanks to Ed St. Onge I was able to confirm my ability to fret a baritone 12!

Measure the distance from the 2nd to the 14th fret. Position the bridge that same distance from the neck body joint. Engineer the neck to make sure it can tolerate the new stresses (if you are using 'ordinary' strings this is really a non issue, I think the tensions decrease). Fix un the compensation to accommodate the new arrangement. Start singing lower.

It had a nice set of extra lights and a Super Shallow bowl so it didn't rumble. It just gave acres of fretboard. The person attached is an Orange County Sleepy Eyed Fred. Since Ed's a Hamer player it found a nice home.
