Location: Utah | There's a vibration started up in the 1778T RF that sounds like it comes from the bridge area, although I also hear it with my ear right against the sound holes. It buzzes with the lower strings, and it definitely is not related to any one string or fret location. IOW, it isn't fret buzz or an issue with the slots in the nut or saddle.
There is no obvious problem when looking in the porthole through the back of the bowl. I've changed strings and the problem persists. There are no visible cracks or other problems visible with the structure of the top, neck, or where the top attaches to the bowl.
What's a good way to try to diagnose this one? Is it possible that it has something to do with the shims or pickup under the saddle? |

-Check the nuts on the tuner posts.
-Check the nuts on the 1/4" jack socket
-Check internal wire clips and wires that may be touching vibrating surfaces....
-Remove the pre amp and fumble with the can.
-Put the preamp back in. fumble more. |

Location: Townsville, Australia | Curious but my 1778T OFT started a b string harmonic when it is strummed hard; first noticed it this afternoon.
Looked inside and didn't notice any bridge bolts, just a couple of shallow pieces about 1/2 inch sqr that sit between the thicker brace under the bridge where I imagine a bolt or screw would come down from; which made me wonder how the bridge was held; glue, shallow screws???
At this stage I am thinking it is the string (Elixir) but they are only a week old, which is as long as I've had it.
Any way it disappears the minute the string tension is changed by either fretting at the first or even up past the neck nut if I press a little bit on this string. And is less noticable now that the temp is dropping from the daytime 25c to about 18 at the moment. And I had checked and adjusted the tuning earlier and it persisted.
Maybe all they are inhabited with a poltergeist that manifests in unique ways; afterall they were painted a motorcycle shop who I imagine does all the groovy custom jobs on Harleys; devil motifs, heavy metal, abandoned women etc And what does that sureal pattern on the top mean; who knows "what's he doing in there"; better stop, think I'm about to rant. |

Location: No Town, California | Do you have strap lock on ur guitar? And do you play with the strap on? It may be that. It happened to me and as soon as I removed my strap, no more buzz.......:-) |
