If it is a good deal, i hope nobody here snatches it, but I'm looking for advice. It looks like a steal, but I don't know much about guitars. Do you guys see anything wrong?

Can't tell much without seeing the auction itself.
The best price I have ever seen on these was a special sale a GC for $600 for a new one.
I will say this. Many, many folks here think that the EliteT model offers the most bang for the buck from the entire Ovation line.

Careful.
"there is a small, stress crack in the back of the neck".

What would it cost him to bolt a new neck on I wonder. Doesn't look too bad other than that.

Good point, Captain Jeff. At that price it would be tempting. Surely Keller's got one laying around in his basement...

I've got to wonder why the picture of the back of the neck is the only one out of focus. No real visual info on the extent and direction of the crack. Unless you are willing to send this back to the mothership for a new neck, or get a satisfactory response about the neck from the seller, I would avoid this one. But I doubt you'll get a good report from the seller, he pretty much states that adjustment of the truss rod would be impossible.

Ask more about the neck crack but I'd grab it if I was 6 string shopping.

If the headstock does have a break starting it'll glue back just fine.

in the description is this line...

Body Type: Mid-Depth Super Shallow Cutaway

Did he copy this from the Ovation web site? well which one is it? mid depth, or super shallow?

This auction also reflects what I was complaining about in the other thread. Just exactly what is a "Mid-Depth Super Shallow Cutaway" ? There is no picture of the side to clarify what the bowl depth is. And this seller appears to be a professional dealer.

Personally I would pass on this one. The crack is worrisome. If you are patient you should be able to find something either new (FRG) or in pristine condition for a similar price.

Maybe it's the mid-depth super-shallow deep bowl cutaway.

I have an Elite T, and it is the most bang for the buck by Ovation. This guitar is like no other, cause of the neck and no top holes. That being said, I wouldn't take the chance, on this one. If in the future, you can't adjust the neck, it would be worthless. Forget about getting a new neck installed. You may spend more in repairs and shipping, than purchasing a new one. Just wait for a guitar in better shape or check with AL.
