Location: UK | Anyone one have the Country Artist. Nylon strings wider neck but not as wide as a standard spanish/classical guitar?
I don't have one but I'm kind of wobbling on the fence. Comments about this model from OFC may push me one way or the other. |

Go for it.
The 1624 is affordable and has a nice sound. The newer models with cutaway and up to the CA LX that Moody has are outstanding.
Wider necks is nice! |

Location: CT | Along with the narrower neck, I believe it's also 14 frets to the body, which would make it a little more familiar to the steel stringers. And let's not forget the string tubes! |

Location: Boise, Idaho | You could do a search, but you may get a lot of hits because Sergio Lara uses Country Artist as his OFC name. I did a thread this spring and discussed my disappointment in mine, but I got over that. I now play it most every day. It is light, has reasonable sound (I think it's better than a shallow bowl, but not as good as a mid or deep) and sounds very good plugged in. The wider fretboard is great for fingerstyle, but I prefer the sound of the Folklore. You need a Country Artist to play Classical Gas. At least that was my excuse. |

I've got tabs and mp3 but they're different. What I'd like is tabs and the mp3 of somebody playing those tabs. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Country Artist is a nice cross over guitar. I've owned three of them. Certainly it's no Classical. But for steel and electric players it fills a very cool niche and it fills it very well. For the prices you can get them for they are really bargins. Dave |

Location: Spokane, WA | I bought a 1674 (a Country Artist Cutaway) from Sergio Lara about 6 months ago, and I love it. I play mostly fingerstyle, but my fat old fingers get a little tied up on a normal 1 11/16" neck. It has a great sound too, alot of bass. I haven't played alot of true classical guitars, but the 1674 really worked for me.. |
