I am thinking of trying one of those John Pearse Armrests on my 1777 LX Legend. I am tired of constantly wiping off the smudges from my arm, plus the binding edge is kind of sharp.

Does anyone have any idea which model of John Pearse armrest would fit an Ovation? They have standard, slimline, and slimline junior. see this URL:

Thanks

Thanks Jeff, I printed out the templates, cut them out and tried them on my guitar. The standard slimline was the closest fit, but even that was off some. Think I'll pass and just get used to wiping off my guitar every time I touch it. I have the dark burgandy top and if you even think about playing it the top gets smudged. Oh well, at least it looks great.

Thanks

Curiosity got the better of me...

I found the slimline template fit my FD14 nearly perfect. I had to move the template along the radius of the guitar body to find the exact position the profiles matched. There was onlt one precise location... one would hope then that is were one's playing arm is positioned..

I did have to change the print setting to 100% ...
when I downloaded the template and went to print it wanted to print at 93% to print on 9.5X11 paper...

That sounds like my '96 collector's series I'm selling to a friend at work (who loves it btw). I had to wipe my down a lot too but that top sure is a beauty!

Thanks for the link, Jeff...you are a wealth of knowledge. I had been considering one for my FD-14 also.

peace
