Location: Illinois | York air conditioners is running a TV ad which begins with a guitar solo. Actually, I think it could be a 12 string or maybe a zouk. As the camera switches to different people, they say the name of the color they chose for their A/C compressor housing which sits outside the house.
The commercial begins with the first player playing the guitar saying 'Terra Cotta"
The solo is handed off to a couple other musicians who are York 'owners'. The second playing an accordion and the third a guitar. At the end the last musician whistles the ditty.
What's the name of that tune?
I've heard it before, I like it and would like to learn it. |

Location: Campbell River, British Columbia | The chord pattern is the same as 'Stray Cat Strut' but the seemingly vamped whistle melody isn't. If the guy was thinking Stray Cats while whistling, he strayed into jazz territory! |

Location: Upper Left USA | It's a combination of "Windy and Warm", "Stray Cat Strut" and "Hit the Road Jack".
Actually its the rythym to all of those with a freelance whistled melody.

Only kidding (it is in C though...) - just wanted to make it look like I knew what was going on here.
I think it's a pretty standard Jazz riff. I've heard it in Jazz pieces in the Big Band I play with, and used it for workshops with them. I'd also go so far as to say Jazz/Blues fusion...
