Update on the project: I've got 3 submissions so far. Cut off is Nov. 1st, so if you want to contribute please get going.

As mentioned in the main post on this topic, cover tunes are FINE and I'll take care of all paperwork and fees and spread it across the cost of the CDs. But to make this financially viable, please limit the number of covers.

My own Christmas Tune for the CD has been completed. I'll share the lyrics below just to get your creative juices going. It's a song parody sung to the tune of "Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire:

Dave

[verse]
Alpep roasting on an open fire
Dealers nipping at his toes
Yuletide carols being phoned in by Bruce
And Tony speaking eskimo, everybody

[verse]
Knows some gossip from the OFC
Cliff is almost at ten grand
We still post about sex and the church
And Alpep slaps us on the hand

[chorus]
You know that, Alpep's on his way
His loaded lots of straps and keyfobs in his sleigh
But every well heeled member's gonna prey
And hope the koa guitar arrives without delay

[verse]
And so Al's offering this simple phrase
For friends and customers alike
I'm from Jersey and that's how it goes
If you don't like it take a f*****g hike

As a young lad, Dave's favorite toy was a simple, 2 foot long, common, ordinary stick.
He spent many a youthful day, wandering about his little corner of the world looking for innocent, yet dangerous animals to poke at and disturb.
As the boy grew, he found his little piece of turf becoming much to small for him and his stick. On one still summer night, with a full moon above, he vowed that someday he would be get a job where he and his stick could travel to the four corners of the earth in search of opportunities to persue his passion.
With the advent of broadband internet Dave has found that he now has a limitless supply of sentient beings to bother. Weilding a virtual reality version of his beloved stick, he continues to do what he does best.
Disturber of the peaceful... waker of sleeping giants... master of the art, ladies and gentleman.... Mr. Dave Witco!!!!

So...ya wanna play rough eh??? :D
Okay.

Even as a young lad, Paul was a "detail" type of kid. While other boys were out playing pirates and baseball, Paul would be scouring the isles of the local K-Mart looking for spelling errors and price tag descrepencies. Department managers would slip him a few bucks under the table and seek his help with the Kings english and just how they should price certain items.
.
.
Actually, if I made it through all that with only one spelling error, I'm kinda happy about it.
EDIT...Before someone points it out, I think I mis-used the word "isles"... I think there should be an "a" in there somewhere.

Well if you read the lyrics, that was supposed to be a "quote" attributed to Al, so of course he can edit himself, right? Dave

So does this mean that in the song we'll hear at the end:
"... don't like it take a f(bleep)ing hike!"

Or will it be a rap edit, where there's just silence?
I vote for a bleep.
