Location: ranson,wva | i was wondering if any one has any reconmendations for strings for my folklore,i belive it has lights on it?? (woody?)..i like elixers but not sure what gage to go with. i prefer medium strings but i dont wanna fool with the action. any help is much abliged..jason |

You shouldn't have any problems switching to mediums. Most likely, you might need to adjust the truss rod, due to that extra "pull" from using higher gauge strings. Sometimes, you might not even have to do anything at all. That's exactly what I did when I made the upgrade from custom lights (11s) to lights (12s) on all my guitars.

Location: Upper Left USA | I think there were D'Addario mediums on there.
A medium set would be loud and strong. Lights will be easier on the phalanges. Dependant on style!
Put on a set of 13's and go to a Bluegrass/Newgrass/Mowgrass Festival! |

I think I need to move up to mediums to get mine back in shape. I've used extra lights for so long now that mediums feel like winch cable. |
