Opeth used an Applause guitar for the acoustic parts on the Orchid album. I discovered this by learning one of the songs and thinking to myself how good my Ovation sounded to the record. After some quick research it turned out that it indeed is true, metal bands do use Ovation, not just country and bluegrass as some on here believe(I think we had this dicussion). Anyway, I know there are couple metal heads on here, so go check it out if you are. If you arn't, not a good starter metal band :D

My only complaint is they went to Takamine, Martin, and Yahmaha on their sophmore + albums.
