Very nice, thank you. I did notice something, however. I scrolled down to the '83 Collector (because I have one) and it says the same thing as on the ser.# reg. page that it has the OP-24 electronics. There was no OP-24 in '83, it has the old stacked 2-knobber FET pre-amp. I think the first collector to get it was the '85. Don't slap me for nitpicking though, I'm very appreciative of the effort.

As they get this firmed up, there's still some data to add, including the solid body info, I can make it available as a pdf too if someone doesn't save it that way first.

I really appreciate the help of those involved. It will make a nice addition to the reference section.

Yup. Might not be 'til morning. There's this PI who's staking out the neighborhood. He's coming over to tune all my guitars for me. I suspect I'll be up most the night puttin' em back the way they're supposed to be.

Pretty impressive. Some of the numbering is a bit elusive, e.g., I had a CC57 (no zero), and a CC67, which are not reflected in the list. Same models, probably just earlier manufacture dates.
As another of my Valued Brethren has observed, "Hey, I'm helping......well, maybe not."
Grrrrrreat Job, Mitzdawg!!

Trying to understand this thread...I'm assuming ur talking about serial numbering to determine year..model...etc...I was part of a team formed to get control of this back in the late 80's...I will tell everyone this....if you own an Ovation guitar thats a model with a serial # inside the bowl...there is no "REAL" information on the year, model etc...Ovation had some problems figuring this out at one point...but, there is ways to find out depending on parts specs....Ovation allways did things their own way....so things have changed...even though they may look the same.
