BTW: When I bought my first O in 1974 many models were available in "electro-acoustic" and simply "acoustic" versions. My Legend 1117 was "simple acoustic"; Was this option general across-the-board for Ovation back then? Don't see it anymore....

The Storm series guitars are all listed as semi-hollow, which implies a center sustain block connected to both the top and bottom of the guitar. I believe they are all fully hollowbody instead. The center block is connected only to the top to support the bridge and pickups. And I didn't see any Super Shallow bowls as compared to Shallow. For instance, the 6868LX is a Super Shallow. The 1624/1674 are considered Shallow bowls, not Mid. Side by side with a modern Mid- there is a subtle difference.
