Well, the new arrival just showed up today, and it is nicer than I thought it would be. :D I see now what all the hubub is about the Adamas. :D What a solid feeling and great sounding instrument! :D I had to do a small neck adjustment to bring the action down just a smidge, but WOW, what a nice piece! :D Makes a nice partner to the 1718. Oh yeah, pics... :D (sorry, I can't stop smiling) :D

Yep. That's why I hide the tools, too.

Fortune smiles on those of us still sleeping in our beds...for now.

Awesome addition to the herd, Jim! I'll be checking out my own very soon, so we can compare notes! (ha, ha, no pun intended)

Andrew, when is yours due? BTW, the wife is starting to wonder if this will ever subside. Yet I am still in our bed!

FedEx shows the Adamas arriving on Saturday. The Koa 12-string and my Elite 1537 arrive next week sometime (don't have the exact day yet).

And no, it never truly subsides...it just goes in spurts.

It's not the length of the list, it's the impact of the music...

Yeah, I know, I'm nuts. Actually, two of those are already sold and going away soon, and the 1718 will probably end up on ebay after I do an A/B comp with the 1537 I have coming. That will pare it down a bit.

Trouble is I'm already thinking about a custom Adamas, or a 6-string Koa to match the 12, or...

That's how I got mine last year. My 1881 was a "tax-time" result, which turned out to be a blessing in many ways. Now I've built up enough of a collection that I'm playing around with in and out to get the "best" ones.
