my friend Al,(one of my Ovation converts) has just added 3 to his collection this month, a standard elite 6868 neb, a 1617-4 legend, and a m862 midi balladeer(black). all in excellent condition and paid less than a grand for all 3... good fishing in my book.

the midi switch on the balladeer is broken/missing cap but otherwise complete and still functions.

what midi units are compatible with the trs interface on these? I heard that the units had "latency from hell" on the older models but the newer ones weren't quite as bad.

does anyone know where we might find a functioning midi unit that is compatible?

Thanks in advance,

Glenn

anyone?.... there's a takamine classical w/a gtm6 unit on e-bay now that I assume is what's needed.

were there any other midi boxes that worked with the midi Ovations?

thanks,

Glenn

Sorry, Glenn. I didn't see this post earlier. Kim Keller has a basement full of them.
