I'm curious about what you Americans think of his guitar. Maton guitars are made down here and have a huge following amongst Aussie musicians, something like Martins in the US.
I personally don't like them (I ONLY like USA Ovations!) but lots of people rave about them.
Are you aware of their existence in the US? What do you think of them compared to a Martin, Taylor or Gibson? |

Are you aware of their existence in the US? What do you think of them compared to a Martin, Taylor or Gibson? Never heard of them until I discovered TE. Since then I've played a couple of Maton's and they were very nice. I would find it hard to compare to a Martin or anything else because I think I've played good and bad guitars from a lot of makers. I will say that one Maton I had the pleasure to play, I would put up against anything I've ever played. Way over any Taylor I've had in my hands (I'm not a fan at all) and over pretty much any Gibson too. Completely different tonaly than the 47RI but as beautiful a sound. Very nice guitars. |
