While at shipping various items to a few OFC members this morning at UPS, I was surprised to learn that non-licensed entities (me for example) can no longer send alcohol of any sort or in any quantity via UPS. This was news to me, as I have sent wine via UPS in the recent past. USPS and FedEx, have long had these restrictions, and appearently since April of 2005, so now does UPS (though I have sent wine via UPS since then and was not questioned about it by the clerk).
A pity we can no longer send a bit-o-libation to those we feel
deserve it- or need it most... |

Location: Rego Park, NY, | If your congressperson is a real drinker send try and send them a good bottle of booze. get documentation of the refusal to send and then write to them and let them know that you support them and send all the paperwork to show your efforts and disgust for the regulation and see what response you get. |

Location: PDX | I admit to having stooped to lying about the contents of a package. I always say it's homemade pickels, instead of the wine it actually is. The package makes it through, but i don't like having to lie about it to make it happen.
