(If you saw how I dressed you'd agree) I love the sound of Ovations. I play almost exclusively acoustically, and look forward to the rare occasions that I get to plug it in. I have no desire to buy another wooden box guitar - my Hondo will do me fine.

Dusting off the old Silvertone they find it is nolonger useful. Now that they have the spare change to spend, they're going to buy the guitar of their dreams. If it is an acoustic, it's probably a Martin, Gibby, Gretsch or other 'Old Reliable' aka what was 'THE' guitar to have when they were young. Maybe O should look at bowls of a different color to generate interest? Something with pizzazz. Something with sparkle.

I may be out of fashion to many, but the sound matters the most, even if it is filtered through a pair of hearing aids. But then, I have always been out of step with most of society. :D

Sitting on the Library lawn, passing around hand-rolled smoke-ables, some itinerant hitch-hiking minstrel appeared with an Ovation. Brown-back. I liked the sound, and the design. He let me strum a few chords... So, thirty-five years later, in the midst of my mid-life crisis, I got one. Then another. And when I find the right USO, I will get another. So I think you got that right Tommy. But I like Old Choppers, Triumphs, 350 Chevy's. I got the O cuz I like a proven design.
