You know, more and more we're hearing about people who beat cancer and that it's no longer a death sentence. And then there weekends like this one where you realize that it still kicks major butt.

Damn.....

I didn't know that he was ill, but I remember noticing how frail he looked on the latest David Gilmour concert DVD. What a shame.

There's been quite a few R.I P.'s the last few months. Not good. It makes me think of my own mortality and getting older.

My hope is that dying's not so bad.
Seeing as we all have to do it.

The tragedy is in not living.
Rick Wright, at least professionally, lived a full life.

Like other's have said, this makes me consider my own mortality.

". . I didn't know that he was ill, but I remember noticing how frail he looked on the latest David Gilmour concert DVD . ."

I noticed the same thing, John.
But I also noticed that in the "behind-the-scenes" footage, he seemed to be very good-humoured and looked like he was genuinely having a good time.

I would assume that he'll also be on the forthcoming "Live in Gdansk" DVD, as it was part of the same tour.

"Great Gig In The Sky" was his composition . . .
