Does she say "You have a problem"? "We don't have room for another guitar"? "Why do you need another..."?

Show her this...

I'd like to spend a day there.
Looks like an interesting collection of Gibsons.
Lots of odd ones, too.

That collection is just screaming for an Ovation. If not an acoustic, a Breadwinner for sure.

Those are Buddy Miller's guitars. He's great and likes the oddballs. I spotted about 6 or 7 examples I used to own, and don't really regret selling. But he's giving me serious Lap Steel envy.

He's got a doubleneck Mosrite with a mistake plate like mine. There really can't be more than a dozen or so in the world. Wow.

And a Guitorgan!

My first reaction was, so what's the problem? Then I saw the wall of banjos, then the guitars got increasingly more wierd. It looks like a leper colony for guitars. I'm sure there are some real rare gems in there, but some of those models have got to be prototypes and experiments gone mad. Still fun to look at. I could give him some pointers on how to spruce the place up with a little neon.

Christ on a bike! The compressors alone have me drooling. Shouldn't be allowed.

All this stuff and yet, not even one neon sign anywhere? This guy's collection would look good no matter how large the pond!

You didn't look hard enough. I spotted a Ric, a Stella and a Bellzouki.

WOW!

That's some serious vintage and modern recording gear!

I really need to think about getting a distressor!

I could have told you that the "Look, honey, I could be worse" approach wouldn't get you anywhere. Contact me next time. I probably can help you avoid another failed attempt.

Very Nice. I really like all the weird shit. The Fenders and Gibsons are boring, nice but boring.

When he was touring with Emmylou she commented on the fact he could get so many different sounds out of the one guitar that he was using which was good because it meant less stuff to transport.

So I kinda figured he had like one or two guitars and then I see this..lol

I didn't realize he was playing with the Krauss/Plant/T-Bone gig. Now I know where they got all those vintage sounds for that album.
