Location: USA | Hello everyone. I have a late 1981 or early 1982 Ovation Adamas II. The paper label says model 1691-8. I have not been able to find any information about what exactly a 1691 model is. I can only find information on the 1681. Can anyone help. Do you know the specs of a 1691. Thanks |

Location: Scotland | I think you may be misreading the label. The Only Adamas 11 from that period could be the 1681, which is a non-cut electric. Adamas models didn't get a 9 as a third digit until the late 90's with the 1591 Adamas 3 and 1597 SMT. |

Location: USA | I appreciate your guys help. However, I am not misreading the label. Unless the factory meant to write 1681 and wrote 1691. I have attached some pics to show you the label. Thanks to everyone!

Location: Scotland | That could be it, a typo. The label style is right for an early 80's AD11. If it's a deepbowl, non-cutaway, blueburst Adamas 2 with electronics, then it's a 1681-8.
Only other thing I can think of is at that time the Adamas 2 was available to special order in a 1 7/8ths wide-neck version. Not sure what model number was applied to a wide-neck AD11. Anyone?
