Location: Shelton, Washington, USA | methinks I have been a bad influence. This weekend a friend went to the music store. Sat down in front of the acoustic rack. Commenced to playing guitars with the goal of choosing one as a work guitar. He narrowed it down to a Martin D-28, a G series Tak and a Celebrity 247... He played plugged and un-plugged.... He walked away with a new Celebrity. I asked him how he settled on the Celeb.... He said...."It had the best overall sound." This is from a guy who said he could never own a roundback... because it wasn't made of wood. But he chose with his ears not his stereotypes. How cool is that? |

Location: dallas | I got the same comment from a guy today on my '86 shallow bowl. He said: "wow, that thing has a lot of volume, suprising all the bass." Im a convert too! Its different from a dreadnought, but notes have punch and more resonance. Don |
