Location: Georgia, USA | I bought a Magnum IV off a friend about eleven years ago, and it's been my favorite bass the entire time. I'd like to replace the bridge and pickups, they are all worn and showing their age. Are there any aftermarket or replica replacements available anywhere? It's been customized fretless, so I'm not awfully worried about keeping it original, I'd just like to get it back being more aesthetically appealing. |

Your new here so you don't know who's who.
But if Mr. Ovation says leave it alone... leave it alone. He knows of what he speaks on the subject of Ovation bass guitars. |

The bridge has had half of the black finish rubbed off over the years, are there any products to either get the bridge back to original black, or to remove the rest of the finish to get an even look that you guys would recommend?
Thanks for the quick replies. |

Painting over the pitted anodization looks like shit. |

Black anodized aluminum. I didn't know it was aluminum. Anodizing is the way to go. I had that done on a couple of old AR-15 receivers. Not cheap, but dang near indestructible from the elements, including sweat (perspiration for the PC crowd)! |
