Location: 6 String Ranch | Nice guitar, that's one of the short neck ones (earlier configuration)
Funny thing, it looks like it's from a store. Being around guitars all the time you'd think that guy would know that they aren't humbuckers!! Must never have seem a Wretch or Guild with those pickups. |

Location: SoCal | Looks like a pawn shop to me. Funny, but until somebody posted pics here of the difference between the short and long necks, I never knew the difference.
Let's see, I could sell my Ovation classical and a couple of Star Trek things on ebay to raise some cash, then.... |

I think I know the answer to this question already, but I've always wondered (being a lefty)if there were ever any lefty versions made of the Storm Series or solidbody guitars, perhaps on a custom order basis?

Location: SoCal | All this talk of Thunderheads (ok, so I'm doing most of the talking), but it brings up a question (well, actually, another line talking about GC shinny bowls brought up the question). Does anybody have any idea how many Thunderheads were made? I know that they were manufactured from about 1968 until 1972.
Anybody have any other information. |

Location: Back in the Valley of the Sun Mesa Az. | Nice guitar Paul! I know how you feel. I am currently watching a 1718 Elite on e-bay. According to the serial number, it would have been made in 1987.
Beautiful guitar, and can be bought right now for $500.00!
Oh well...."Just me and my Legend..." By the way, I found an old 70ish leather guitar strap in the attic, that I thought I had thrown out. I spruced it up with some leather and suede straps. Although my legend is equipped with an under bowl strap notch, I have always preferred having the strap attached below the bridge around the neck. The strap really adds some character to my Legend (as if it didn't have enough!).
Paul, Al seems like a nice guy, I bet he would love to buy that Thunderhead for you!
Good Luck!
Norse(An ELITE, would be SWEET!)man1
p.s. Did you see item #892592497 Paul? an "F" hole semi-hollow Thunderhead. Not as nice looking as the one you are looking at, but may be more affordable!
