The opening segment was a "Goodtime Hour" clip and Glen was playing the proto GC 6-string acoustic that I now own. He was also using it during the segment with Bobby Gentry...unfortunately they were just short flashes! Any Campbell fans have any idea which shows these would be? They were both from '69 but I don't know the air dates. Wayne [ June 23, 2002: Message edited by: Weiner ]

Also this week they are doing "Behind the Fame" of Glen, so watch and keep your VCR's ready. Bailey I just checked CMT.com and they don't sell any videos, I thought it was worth a try. No luck, but I did turn up some other videos, Country Homecoming, a concert, etc. some of which I've seen, and are very good, and I would suggest you GC fans do the same. The credits at the end of the Good Time Hour tapes show an entity called Glenco as the distributor, that sounds like Glen Campbell might be involved in the distribution. Has anybody here considered that he might not be opposed to allowing them to be available to this board, as almost everybody who is a member is either already a staunch fan, or will be when they learn of his association with Ovation instruments. If there is, or was, such a thing as Mr. Ovation it is GC. If anybody has any ideas how to pursue this possibility, let's discuss it on the board. If those tapes could be made available at a reasonable cost, I'm sure many of us would buy them. If we could pursue this I'll help in any way I can. Bailey

You walk in, pay a nominal fee, and sit at a computer terminal doing "searches" through the archive listings. Your fee allows you to make like 6 or 8 choices. You right down the corresponding numbers on your card, and then bring the card to the librarian. After that, you go upstairs and wait for them to call you. They then direct you to either a private viewing room or a "cubicle" type viewing station where you watch your selections in whatever order you want, rewind, fast forward, etc. on a video monitor and headphones (multiple headphones if you've brought "friends"). I spent an afternoon there a few weeks ago watching old episodes of "Fawlty Towers", old b&w Volkswagen commercials, and those old classic Cracker Jacks commercials with Jack Gilford. Alas, it isn't possible to "dub" copies from their archives, but next time I'm there I'll check for GC episodes and file a full report. (Was never much of a Glenn fan, but will do my share for my "comrades in bowls").

It doesn't have all of them as far as I can tell, but at least three. Paul Brownstein Productions I think the price is $29.95 for three episodes. Warning: don't click on the "series and..." button at the top of the page, I hung up my computer 3 times, the series are listed further down the 1st page of the site.
