I watched the Bob Marley behind the music last night well at least part of it until I fell asleep.

Yes there was a representation of Ovation. As many of us rememeber Bob Marley was often seen playing an Adamas and was shown doing this on the show.

Now I am not sure if it was Peter Tosh or Bunny Wailer or just another guitarist next to Bob that was using a DEACON.

I am not sure if you know it or not but the Magnum bass was considered the bass of choice for reggae for many years.

I was just at the American Chamber of Commerce 4th of July party this weekend. Hawaiian theme, with a Hawaiian band as well as a Regee Band (presumably from the US). 1st thing I noticed was the 2 Ovations they had on stage... awesome.

The other thing I noticed is that there were about 2-3 Taylors being played by the Hawaiian band (actually from Hawaii). My buddy has a Taylor and it sounds fine acoustically :o but I've never heard it plugged in. Well, the Taylors plugged in at the picnic sounded dull, lifeless... dead.

Just goes to show you how great an all-round guitar the Ovations are.
