My Ovation 2000 Collector's (sweet guitar) has dual outputs: one is XLR, the other is 1/4-inch. Can these both be plugged in and used at the same time?

interesting question but to use the xlr you need a dummy plug in the 1/4" so my guess would be no. I have never tried this nor have I had the reason to even try it

There could be occasions where both plugs could be used at the same time, such as a split feed to a sound system & recording system, or a feed to the board & a feed to a personal monitor system, but there are better ways to do both of these tasks. A "dummy-plug" is only required if you want to use the XLR output into a jack input as phantom power cannot be supplied to the preamp in this way.
