Location: WI | I am wondering what year this Elite came out?
It has gold tuners, maple inlay?, deep bowl & no cutway with dual jacks and neat wood volume and tone knobs.
It's an: Elite Model Number 1537 SN 301636 |

Location: Minneapolis, MN | Look to the left of your screen, click on 'reference'- That'll bring you to serial numbers and FAQ's. Click on serial numbers and you'll see that your six digit serial number indicates that your elite was made in 1983. Keep in mind that this only works for USA made Ovations. |

Location: Pennsylvania | Yeah, funny movie (profane at times, yet funny).
No, the bugs aren't worked out on the elite t. I'm thinking it's a saddle problem. The treble side of the saddle is literally about 10 times higher than the bass side. Ouch. Can't believe that got over looked. I'm going to take it to a dealer this weekend to have the saddle possibly reshaped and then shimmed. |

Location: Scotland | I presume your Elite-T has Ovation's thinline CP100 pickup or something similar. You need to be VERY careful reshaping a saddle that has an integral pickup, this isn't like a serarate undersaddle pickup where you're working on a piece of bone or synthetic worth a couple of bucks. If you make a mistake you may have to replace the whole thing. I'd look at shimming & maybe even a re-rout on the saddle-slot if necessary, but avoid any surgery on the saddle/pickup if posible.

Location: Pennsylvania | Yeah, it has an ovation thinline in it (or some form of it).
I'm going to take it to a dealer to have it done, and I know the guy there pretty well, and I'm just going to ask him to carefully remove all the buzzes and rattles.
Basically, I just want the best, buzz-free acoustic sound I can get. I play this thing acoustic all the time. This is crazy, but at this point, I think I'd almost prefer to mic it than plug it in.
It sounds great unplugged, but I need a good acoustic amp or something that it sounds good through before I go plugging it in.
