Hi all....I saw this acoustic selling at auction the other day and couldnt resist giving it a home.
I am finding it hard to reference on the net & was hoping someone could help me, if so I will send a photo. At this stage the fretboard inlays, headstock ,and "K" stamped machine heads are all I have to go on, as I cannot find any serial number or markings ( and guitar looks very original....some wear, but still plays great ).
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks !

Cutaways did not appear on Ovations until the early 80's, so that rules out yours being of 60's
vintage.

The first 2 cutaway's were built by hand in 1979 and they were Matrix guitars. The production ones didn't come till the early 80's and the first were made with a molded cutaway part and the bowls were cut and this piece added.
The machine heads never had a K on them so this would cast some originality questions at your instrument. Post a pic, that's the best way to sort these things out.
