It is very good shape IMHO. Probably needs some basic set-up, but I'm happy with the deal.
I have never played an Adamas before. I just took everyone's work here on the board who have one. I am not disappointed. It has amazing sound. It came with a set of old medium strings. Sounded deep, every note clear as a bell. Great sustain. I played a little for my wife and she said it was the BEST guitar I've ever owed! (OK, I'm not THAT dumb. She MAY have said it so I don't do any more guitar shopping. However I DO agree with her opinion, it IS the best guitar I've ever owned and possibly have played).
I did make one mistake. I ran out right away to buy new strings. The guitar shop recommended some DR rare phospore strings. It said the gauge was Med/Lite. I thought that meant somewhere between medium and light. They look like between extra-light & light (bass strings go 050 .040 .030) Still sound very good, but not as good as before. I'll have to restring it tomorrow, moving those DR's to my soon-to-be-ex Gibson J-200. I'll be preparing ads for about 4 guitars I want/have to sell off this weekend.
Adamas RULES!!!!

Glad you're happy with your Adamas. They are great guitars. Which model did you get?
If I may suggest, I am partial to Elixar medium gauge strings. They cost twice as much as others but last three times as long. You might also try D'Addario's. Both also make a good light gauge string. But my personal belief (what works for me anyway) is that a medium gauge string really drives the top. |

Bought it off a guy on E-bay who saw I miss out on one for $885 and gave me a change to buy it at $750 before he put in on e-bay. Very Lucky Me
I'll probably will restring it tomorrow with mediums.

Got up this morning and played my new toy. Maybe I'll leave the strings the way they are - it REALLY sounds nice.
Wife dissapointed. Usually Saturday mornings I go with her to garage sales. I'm always looking/hoping to pick up a great guitar. Have lost interest in buying new guitars. hehe
