I find the plugged-in tone of the 1615 (with the volume-only preamp) very bright. Any suggestions how to introduce some tone/EQ adjustment? Different Ovation preamp, other manufacturers preamp etc? Or a passive tone control, like on an electric guitar (i.e. a pot in series with a capacitor to act as a treble cut).

Adjust the tone and EQ on whatever you're plugging it into. Dave

Yes there is that but it's also useful to be able to adjust it onboard as well.

I installed an OpPro in mine (1115). Love it!

you can get a stacked tone/vol from the mothership, or someone here might have one. I sent the last one I had to Jason some time ago.

The stacked might be good actually. Don't want to do too much surgery.
