Location: Pennsylvania | Sigh. No luck yet, really. I had the guy check it out--he didn't do much for it. The B string sounds a little better now due to him replacing it with some other brand b string. Still, the b and high e string are tinny sounding.
Another problem is a high-pitched feedback/ringing sound when strumming acoustic. The strings behind the nut still ring. The 3 lower strings buzz, especially the lower 2.
I think I'm going to have to send it to the nearest Ovation warranty service center.
Maybe it needs a new neck due to incorrect pitch on the head. Or maybe just a new nut or saddle.
I dont know...I just want it fixed.
I'll keep you all posted.

Location: Scotland | Snolock, I'd send it back to the guy it came from, or at least contact him for his comments on your quite extensive list of problems, which really shouldn't be happening on a new instrument. Don't worry about the fretboard, the tapered design of the end of fingerboard exposes the fretboard camber, it's supposed to be like that.

Location: Pennsylvania | Thanks, Paul. I did contact the guy I got it from. He replied asking for my address so he could work out shipping to a warranty service center. I replied with my address, but he hasn't written back for almost a week. So yesterday I kindly reminded him to get on the ball. If he doesn't reply and do something, I'll write again and tell him I'm sending it back to him. Wish me luck! I'll keep you posted. Thanks for your help! |
