Location: Scotland | Russ, I'm vaguely aware of these, but it's a little out of my field as I work in audio only, the A-6 is aimed at the AV market. They use a lot of the tecnology developed in Roland's VS series of DAW's. Roland gear is superb, I have a VS2480 and it's incredible.

Location: puerto vallarta, mexico | paul, i have found out a whole lot more about this a-6. it is a 16 gig hard drive based recorder that has lots of sound effects etc on board to use in editing videos. it is very similar to the roland 808 which uses 100 meg zip discs. it should be light years ahead of my yamaha 4 track analog tape machine. hardly anyone bid on it because it is called a video canvas, even though it is strictly an audio machine----just set up for making editing the audio tracks on a video. i found a chat site dedicated to the 808 series and the a-6. it looks like a really fun toy!!!!!!!! |
