Location: Houston, TX | Mark advertised this on Harmony Central about ten days ago. Last Monday he said he would send some pics to me, but didn't until last night. I made an offer this morning, but evidently he had listed it on ebay between last night and the time of my offer this morning. We were even talking about meeting halfway between Ville Platte and Houston to make the transfer. Thought I had one! Hate it when they get away... |

Location: Houston, TX | Russ, I've never played one, but I've heard many testimonials. Besides, how many bad Ovation solids are there, right? I have a viper, and a preacher on the way, so I was looking to add to the family.
By the way, did anybody see the Preacher that went for $565 last week? Wots the story? |

Location: Scotland | Scott, I think the story is that people are finally starting to realise how good these guitars are, & this site may be a major factor in the increase in awareness & general interest in Ovation electrics. It's about time they got the recognition they deserve & if that pushes prices up, so be it. Having said that, an extremely rare blue Breadwinner only managed about $300 on ebay recently. I bought all of my Ovation solids at bargain-basement prices and I have pretty much all I need (though I wouldn't turn down a P-deluxe or a Thunderhead) so maybe they'll turn into a retirement fund after all. That's what I tell my lady everytime I buy another. |

Location: Houston, TX | One problem - having them as a retirement fund implies selling them one day. I can't imagine parting with mine. Hell, the only reason I would retire in the first place would be so I would have more time to play them! |

The day that I stop playing my guitars is the day they nail down the lid, at which point the retirement fund becomes academic.
Buy that UK2, you won't be disappointed.

Location: 6 String Ranch | It's one of the early ones with the bow ties and pickguard. It's way undervalued at $51! Should be up at 59 or 60 I would think. Go for it, even at twice the price it's still a bargain! |

Location: Zion, Illinois | Didn't that guitar have a "buy-it-now" price of around $450? Seller must have set the reserve very low if so.
Gotta love those MOTS inlays.
