I think the tag on it is wrong and it should read model 1677. In the early 80's, for a year or two, Ovation made a shallow bowl (now called mid depth) cutaway Legend. AAA spruce, stacked volume/tone control, etc. Beautiful guitar and fairly rare. About 84 or 85 they then offered the Glen Campbell model in a cutaway and this guitar disappeared. If I win the lottery on Wednesday, I'm buying this guitar.
I'll also buy the matched 1970 GC 6 and 12 strings that are being sold together on ebay found here

Location: Phoenix AZ | Model 1567 does show up in the Ovation pricelist in 1984, so maybe this is correct for the Legend. As far as the matched GC's, based on the foil label, I have some doubt they are really 1970. Didn't they start using the foil label around 1974? Dave

In your 1984 price list, what does it say about the 1567 Legend? I have always been under the impression the 15xx was the Ultra designation. |

Location: 6 String Ranch | This has a blue lable so it is from the Randy Hess period, early 80's. Nice looking guitar. I think it's a 1677. 15XX would have been an elite of some sort I think. |

Location: Florence OR | i looked up that number (1567) on one of the tables.. either the one here or on ovations site..
its listed there as being a 12 string, which this is not..
i understand it does not come with a case.. wouldnt that be hard on it, humidity & moisture -wise? |
