Joined: September 2002 Posts: 32 | I have made a search of the Ovation site, prior posts and attempted several e-mail inquiries with Ovation with no results/response. I don't understand why there is absolutely no information available on these preamps. Will a factory employee monitoring this board PLEASE respond with the function/feature/ differences of these preamps? Why the secrecy? Don't the customers have a right to know what they are getting with their purchase? So far, only the OP-40 is even mentioned on their site, and it doesn't even have a picture of it. Come on guys, give us the info!

I just tried the above and got a good list of posts. Bailey

Joined: March 2002 Posts: 389 Location: RI. That small State out East | Ovation just printed a handout (April 02') that a factory rep sent me. It is called the OP-30,40,50 Owners Guide. Doing a quick "review" OP-30 has the Tuner 0n/Cal, EQ In/Out, Mid-Shift, PreShape (Push buttons) It also has Vol,Bass,Mid,Treb, (Slide controls) OP-40 Has the above along with Notch Filter & Notch In/Out (Push buttons) OP-50 Has the above with a little different configuration. The Volume is a (Button) and the (Slide controls) are Bass, Mid1,Mid2,Treb, I can fax a copy of the "Owners Guide" if you need one. I made 3 or 4 email attempts before mine landed. Woz With some help I can scan this and get it on my lap top... But I would need help getting it on the board.

The Ovation UK distributors website shows the pre-amps in some detail. http://www.jhs.co.uk/ovation.html It's great thsat even the basic OP20 has an onboard chromatic tuner. Joined: September 2002 Posts: 32 | Thanx Woz. This was the info. I was looking for. Bailey, your comment identifies you as an ass. READ MY POST! I already stated that I ran a search OF THE POSTS, and read every one of them. The most I uncovered (which was also untrue) was that the OP-40 was like the OP-24-C but modular. Perhaps you should approach new customer questions on this board as an honest attempt at getting answers that have not been forthcomming from OVATION, and either help or stay out of it. I'm so tired of board groupies having an attitude. Get a life.

If it doesn't answer your question, well, at least he made an effort to help. He's been here posting good information a hell of a lot longer than you have. I don't know why I'm even trying here. People in Fontana aren't known for being open minded. I hate feeling the need to say things like this. Al, why don't your or Miles delete this whole line.

Joined: September 2002 Posts: 32 | Paul, if your opinion was correct, your friend Bailey would have extracted any info. contained in HIS search that I might have missed AND PUBLISHED IT. Now, THAT would have been a help. He supposedly took the time to make the search - why not take the next step and give the needed info.? Instead, he chose to display the typical board groupy attitude which is 'look somewhere else THEN ask again'. Sorry, but I am tired of this attitude and have a right to expose it for the bad attitude it is. You will note that the other posters did not choose this approach 'to help'. Instead, they provided the needed information, not a suggestion to look somewhere else. Bailey may have provided help to others - for that I'm sure the help was appreciated. In this case Bailey provided me no help. Just attitude.

Joined: May 2002 Posts: 3005 Location: Las Cruces, NM | Donald1800 Every piece of information in this post has been discussed before on the board. I made a suggestion to help you find the information you requested while you were waiting for a reply such as you got. What is meant by "board groupie" I don't know as I've never seen the term used on this board. If I wanted to rub you the wrong way, I have the capability to be twice as shitty as you have been, I have been criticized before but this is the first time I have been called an ass for trying to help someone in the way that is normally used here. If you drive like you post, I doubt that you'll be around long anyhow, so I'll give you my condolance now and hope you don't have a good guitar in your car when it happens, and destroy something worthwhile. Thanks boys for the support, this is the first one like this that I have seen, I hope we don't get any more. (do you suppose it might be Donald Duck come to life, his posts sound pretty good if you kinda quack through them?) Bailey
