I wouldn't even think of arguing this opinion.

I saw one of those in the Day Room at Ft. Eustis, VA in 1953, I think the Army had bought 500 of them from a sawmill in West Virginia to appease a Junior Senator Byrd.

Strangely enough, I kinda' do too.

It has this bizarre "Sanford & Son" quality about it! (I like the gate hinge on the neck.)

Probably make a nice slide guitar (played with a busted beer bottle neck).

I'd bring this along to a gig!
(Only to fight my way outta a bar brawl with!)

Think the hinge was an aborted attempt at having a "Folding Travel guitar" ? Definately a product of the "Ham Fisted School of Lutherie".

Don't let "Them" see this!! They'll be having copies made in China, only with the Tagamet pighead.

Aside from that I agree with Al, there is a certain something about it, it's a little too shiney though for the blooze slide player

What a bunch of cheapskates, all in love with this one off piece of art and nobody will bid 5 cents more and take it home. Warhol would be shocked if he could see this. Chet would remind us of when he dragged his brothers's guitar throught the sandbox when he was 4, fortunately I don't have a nickel.

Not sure if it's because of the "art" value, the chutspah value, or if it's the "gotta look at the car wreck" syndrom... but I'm with Al... I almost have to have it.

Just checked again, who's going to bid $10 and take that baby home? Just think, inside might be a label signed by cwk2, the top might be Adamas composite, the neck alone is probably worth $10, IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN OWNED BY GLEN CAMPBELL! I spent $100 at an auction of abandoned property and didn't get anything as good as this.

kind of has a 'mckiver-ish quality to it... Quick! We're due on stage in five minutes and both of my guitars are broken thanks to that no good roadie leaning on my half-stack! And look at that, all I have to fix it with is a gate hinge! (Richard Dean Anderson steps in) No problem! With this safety pin and wooden match, along with that hinge- I'll get you through this gig!

And Rich, trying to feel our pain, appears on stage with this guitar, that shows you what a bunch of cowards you guys are. Lets give Rich a standing Ovation for courage under fire, then he can trash this abomination and play the standing Ovation. $10 would have gotten any one of you 10 seconds of immortality.

This is just one of those 2 bag guitars, one for you and one for the guitar. Kinda hard to get clear notes through the bag though.

Put the bags on. Muddying up the sound of that guitar can only help it.

Please somebody, drive an AAA spruce stake through the heart of this monster before halloween. This thing is going to show up on our doorsteps and drive terror into our hearts as it it says (TRICK OR THE WORST VERSION OF WILDWOOD FLOWER YOU'VE EVER HEARD) in a voice like a mummified Kay archtop.

Dang, we're being serious, would you want an abomination like this floating around your bayous and suddenly surfacing at a fay do do like freddie on halloween. (you may correct my spelling of Fay do do if you wish I'm doing it phoneticallly from my visit to your state in the 50's that made me a citizen when I bought a square foot of DeRidder at a homecoming party).

Bye the way has anyone heard from Tommy or was he lost in the flood?

We are all doomed, it will rise out of the swamp (or nearest mud puddle) on Halloween and play Wildwood Flower in the key of E-flat (Tommy's Key), luring deeper and deeper into the swamp and defiling virginal players who have never experienced an Ovation and are sucked by its' siren song into plucking it's scabrous rotting strings in the hope of starting a career based on all the publicity we have givin this abomination, They will be found with the hinge propping their skull like jaw open as there ravaged body is stuffed into it's coffin like body as a result of an E natural chord that no professional would play by mistake. This is an experiment by Dr Frankenstein to see who will sell their soul for $10. I really want this guitar!
