Hi all,
I just bought a 1984 collectors edition Adamus Ovation 6 string.
It has a pickup with tone/bass controls and is in very good condition and plays great.

I wondered if any others readers have this model and would care to share any "Do,s and Donts" that could help me get the most out of this lovely guitar.
All replies welcome

Regards Alan

The 84 collectors series is one of my favorites. It is an Elite however, not an Adamas. Change the strings every so often and keep a fresh battery and you're good to go.

Because people have a certain level of ignorance. Folks like Pianoman will ask the question and absorb the answer and increase his knowledge level. Salespeople are more interested in talking and moving product. Unless it's something that really interests them, they just don't learn.

We last 45 minutes opening presents this morning. That's a new record.

Thanks for the "Elite" clarification.

Its true I have no experiance with Ovations,I have only just satisfied my long ignored craving to get one.
I remember seeing the Simon & Garfunkel Reunion concert in central park on TV, and saw PS playing a black Ovation 6 string and just loved the sound and the look.

I work as a guitartist/pianoplayer vocalist so Ilike the super shallow body as its more comfortable.

Regards and Merry X mas
