Location: Texas | There is a guitar shop in Houston that has a 1997 Collectors edition. They say it is NOS, they said they used to be an Ovation dealer and found this one in the back just recently.
The guitar does have the pre amp but no controls, unless I missed them but they were not where they were supposed to be.
Does anyone know anything about this model?
I could get the serial number if that would help.
Here I am a new Ovation owner and I'm already after a second one.
I talked to two different salesmen on two different trips. Both said list on the guitar was around $1600...but we all know about list. First one offered the guitar arond $600 and the second arond $800. Both asked me to make an offer.
Thanks for the input.

Location: SoCal | The 97 Collectors was the parlor guitar. The electorics on it were unique. They were touch sensitive for volume. No other controls that I can recall, and the plug jack came out the end pin. I always thought it was kind of a cool guitar. Offer $500 for it and see what you can do. |

Location: The Shop | Oh yes the parlor guitar. If i remember right that model had the walnut binding on it also. It was a cool little guitar, with the touch sensitive eq. I belive that we stopped the run early, because it was a fairly rough one to build. Go with thw 500 dollar offer, cuase i think that there are only about six to seven hundred of those out there. good luck with the gas! |
