| I took a good look at my new 12 string yesterday, and I found a couple of flaws. I had to return it for an exchange. I think that the one they sent me was a reject from another customer. The guitar wasn't supposed to be due until late February, but I received it a couple of days ago. It had the inside bracing indented on the top, and the fret board seems like its lifting from the soundhole. Is this normal, or am I just being picky? |

Location: Tennessee | I have a 6759 that also seems to have the bracing identing on the top (just below the bridge) ... I can't really see it but I can feel it when I run my polish cloth across it. I was worried about it, but then saw a post from dubyatoo that indicated this was pretty normal so I relaxed. I've had mine about three years and just noticed this about a month ago. I'll have to check the fretboard when I get home, but I can tell you that there is clearly a space between the fretboard and the top on my 2000 Collectors, and that one seems perfectly OK.
That said, if you didn't like the one you got, you did the right thing by sending it back. Don't settle for anything less than one you totally love ... you're going to live with this baby for decades! |

| The dent in my 12 string is very noticable. It's about 5 inches long and about 1/3 of and inch thick. It runs from the fretboard to the bridge. At first I thought it was just the finish, then I realized that there was a bracing right under it. |
