Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone has a 2003 collectors guitar yet. I think it is beautiful with the inlaid epaulets and the tortoise binding. I would like to get some good pictures of one. Anyone know where there are good close pictures of the 2003 collectors?...Paul Hebert

I was going to say at the Ovation site, but oops.. what's up with that? I think the Duetch site is probably on the ball with those pictures, or at least they have been in the past.

When I first saw the inlay epaulets at NAMM I thought they were decals, that's how perfect they are.

Miles, there is just something about this guitar that grabs me. The inlaid epaulets are really nice, but I think the binding is what caught my eye. The tortoise binding with the natural spruce top make a great combination. OOOOOHHH OOOOOOOHH, I got it for this guitar bad!...Paul Hebert

I hear rumour that these is a new Ovation vendor on the board, and he is getting ready to place an order.

Check out the guitar trader website, they have some good photos of the 2003:

The problem is that I like the 2002 much more, sorry...

As a sales guy... What's with the Ovation promotions / Sales dept? My guess is they have no money to promote the Collectors' series. Word of mouth and they will move 600 to 900 guitars. OK, that's fine. But it doesn't cost that much to promote it on the web. I feel Ovation is missing it big time. You can save money and have "low cost" print material for the stores... BUT move the buyer to your web site and dazzel them with great info and pic's. Maybe the OFC people can help. It's not just bad it's... I'll shut up.
