Location: NJ | Went to see the movie "a mighty wind" tonight. It is a funny send up of the folk music scene.
lots of guitars..There are martons, and tailors, and givsungs and collings but Michael McKeon is playing an Ovation Legend!!!!!!!!! |

Cliff, you're dead right about Ovation getting in on the action. Not long after Spinal Tap was released Martin did a bunch of ads using Christopher Guest (Nigel Tufnell of Tap & the banjo player in Mighty Wind) |

Location: Fort Worth, Texas | Planning on seeing it on Friday, I've looked over the web site (it's pretty cool) but didn't notice the Ovation. Harry Shearer was on NPRs Fresh Air yesterday and the folk group (The Folksmen) opened for Spinal Tap! It's the same three guys.
The song clips on the web site are just hilarious...

Location: Fort Worth, Texas | My wife and I went to see "A Mighty Wind" last night and we laughed all the way through it. Two peg-heads up indeed!
Gotta go out and buy the CD....
I went and read some on-line reviews and have to share this quote from Harry Shearer's character (the bass player in The Folksmen):
"Doing 'then' now would be retro, but doing 'then' then was very nowtro."
