For those of you who haven't heard her, I invite you to visit her record label's website and see the page they made for her. Five songs from the record can be selected and played. At Velour's splash page, click the "artist" link, and click her name. http://www.velourmusic.com/2003/site.html There's a nice onstage photo of her playing her new Adamas II 1581-7. Whaddaya think? Finest regards to all--- popcritic

Wishin' Kaki tremendous success, and can't wait til she's in the Jersey/NYC area again. It's SO inspiring to know that there is still label interest in original style, quality musicianship and outstanding talent. ALL the best! Johnny

Thanks for the tip. Surprisingly, I saw it on ebay, with a lot of bids, but I'm a firm believer in supporting "local" musicians with legit cd sales. God knows we need all the help we can get! Joined: December 2002 Posts: 584 Location: atlanta | An Amazon.com customer has posted a first review of the cd: ---------------------------- Customer Reviews 5 stars. Well done, great performance, April 22, 2003 Reviewer: Macneil Shonle from Woburn, MA United States Listening to the tracks of Everybody Loves You, it's hard to believe the sounds King can get out of a single guitar. Virtually all of the tracks are instrumental (with the exception of a bonus track of King playing around). The melody and bass lines are well woven with the percussion King provides and gives you something that will stick in your head for a long time. If a great storyteller could only communicate by playing and smacking a guitar, this is what it would sound like. If half stars were possible I'd give this album a 4.5 stars rating because it runs on the short side and some of the tracks could have been longer. King's performance really must be seen to be believed, and, fortunately, the CD contains a quicktime movie that you can play on your computer to get an idea of her unique picking style (and her somewhat odd sense of humor). If you like acoustic guitar you cannot go wrong by adding this unique album to your collection. I haven't heard anything so well balanced between folk and rock since Steve Howe's solo album Natural Timbre." http://amazon.com popcritic cannot help but share some of this good stuff with his OFC friends..... p.c.

Tonight as I was removing it from a CD player I recalled that the CD has video (RealPlayer) tracks.. So I loaded in my computer and was amazed. If you haven't seen Kaki play you gotta see this, two handed tapping over top of the fretboard making wonderful sounds. I read this in reviews but it is something I needed to see/hear to understand. Three extra tracks are on the RealPlayer section. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
