Location: Netherlands | Does anyone have recommendations for strings on my new Adamas SMT? I play GHS vintage bronze light gauge on all of my steel strings, but perhaps the Adamas works better with something different. Any tips? |

Location: Lafayette, Louisiana | I know exactly what Paul T is talking about. I use to kill strings in no time. No amount of cleaning are anything would work. Thank God for Elixer strings. They have totally changed how I play. I use to be so paranoid about killing my strings, that I wouldn't play as much as I wanted to. Now a set on my Adamas lasts quite awhile, and they are excellent. I just put a set on my Pacemaker 12 string, and they sound great. These strings saved my playing. I am so happy they came out with them....Paul Hebert |

By the time I wash my hands and then go down a deck and open and close a few hatches, my hands are no longer very clean. I just end up using whatever strings I have for a month or so ten changing them. With all the fan noise on this old ship, can't hear that well anyway. I have already ask my wife to pick up a set of Elixers for when I get home. Medium strings do sound better on my Balladeer. |

Location: Dallas, GA, USA | FWIW, I just put a set of Adamas 1919 (mediums) on my CVT, and frankly it sounds worse than whatever it had on it when Alpep sent it to me. I'll be changing them soon, as now my 1111 has a better sound (with D'Addario lights). |
