Location: NJ | When I got my first great guitar a givsung les paul back in 71 I would polish it every time I could with lemon pledge since that was all we had around. Well needless to say it has MANY very fine scratches in the finish caused by that product. I would never use it ever again on an instrument and if I knew better back then I would not have used it on my guitar. |

ever since the scratches were pointed out to me my guitars are the dirtiest grungiest dustiest you will ever see. If I clean them I clean them with a dry cotton cloth.
now for guitars I sell I use the dunlop stuff . |

Location: Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey | Back in the day...when I was a boy...my first guitar teacher told me that guitar polish was nothing more than glorified Pledge, and that I should just use that instead.
What a mistake!!!! It ruined the finish on my first guitar, and completely dulled it.
I received this dunlop guitar polish kit for Christmas this past year, and I love it.

Location: California | The fingerboard cleaner from that kit would change your light brown Adamas walnut fingerboard to dark brown. Not everyone would like it that way. |

Location: Virginia | I clean mine about twice a year with Lemon Pledge, if the finish can't take a little furniture polish...I feel it wasn't worth a damn in the first place. My guitars have seen a lot more abuse than anything Lemon Pledge could ever do. They get played more than cleaned and spend a lot of time on a guitar stand. The only one that goes back in the case after use is the Limited, and it has had the Lemon Pledge abuse for 20 years and damned if I see any scratches.

Location: SoCal | I've used Lemon Pledge on my guitars for 30 years with no problems. Now I've switched to Dunlop and I'm not certain I like it as much. Ignorance can be bliss. |
