Just got through watching the 2002 concert DVD "Sea Of Fire" by Mountain/Leslie West. Pretty good, but expect a lot of use of a ring modulator. 75 minutes long and cost $17.00.

I saw that in the store and wondered how it was.
Leslie's a very underrated guitarist. Nice guy, too. He once came outside and tossed a football around with me and bunch of my friends on a side street outside of the Capitol Theatre in the mid-70's (while we were waiting outside for his show) wearing the biggest friggin' platform shoes I'd ever seen! I pictured him falling over and crushing a car!!

Once on the Howard Stern Show, they were broadcasting from London. Jack Bruce was the in-studio guest and Leslie was on the phone from NJ.
They played "Theme From An Imaginary Western" together with Bruce on piano/singing and Leslie setting the phone down in front of his amp. The amazing thing was that he was playing over a Trans-Atlantic phone line while listening to a radio with a 7 second delay and he was DEAD-fucking-ON!!

Bru;
Is the DVD worth getting?

Wow, haven't heard anything about Mountain in a very long time. I seem to remember Felix Pappalardi passing away years ago, is Corky Laing still strokin the skins? Is the DVD worth picking up Bru? I got the Zeppelin DVD last w/e and the CD set too. Both very reasonably priced at Best Buy and worth every penny.

I enjoyed the DVD, but I'm a big Leslie West fan.
The set list was:
Blood of the Sun
Yasgur's Farm
Crossroads
The Sea
Never In My Life
Mutant X
Theme From An Imaginary Western
Nantucket Sleighride
Mississippi Queen

Corky's still playing the drums. Bass was Ritchie Scarlett. FYI, Pappalardi was shot by his wife (Gail Colins) in the mid seventies.

The DVD also had some interviews of Leslie and Corky. Did you know that Corky wrote a book?
