Hey guys,

What do you think of this? Real or Hoax?

. . . . .

I've emailed the seller and requested more pics (close-ups) can't tell much from the auction pics!

It's definately a genuine fake Ovation.

I wonder, though, if some of the parts have been recycled. Might be a little difficult to replicate that rosette around the soundhole. The neck and peghead look to be a very faithful reproduction, if not original from a Korean model, also. That bowl looks suspiciously like some other "knock-offs" I have seen over the past few years. Just might play OK, too.

The seller revised his listing with the 4 close-up pics he sent me.

Rosette looks to be original Ovation and is inlaid (probably the whole top is Ovation except the bridge?)

Seesquare you're probably right about the neck being off a Korean model (picture of the neck joint looks rough though-fretboard has been cut at the neck joint)

Bridge and bowl back......????
. . . . .

DEFINITELY A REAL GENUINE FAKE OVATION CLONE REPLICA :D

Nope, not a single part of that guitar is genuine Ovation. The body outline, cutaway shape, bowl shape, headstock shape, bridge, rosette, are absolutely approximate
