Location: Netherlands | BTW: There is a lot of discussion about Legends and Elites, Balladeers etc. But I've not come across too many topics about the Adamas SMT/CVT's. Anyone have experience with them? (The high Euro/low Dollar may allow me to buy in another category :D )
Which one do you prefer?

I did try a search and found many long discussions about a lot of things, but not too much direct and useful information. Anyway, I think spending about €1.500 on a guitar is a lot of money so I thought it would be a good idea to get information from this group, where I feel a lot of first hand info and user experience is available.
If I offend you by asking questions. I'm sorry.
I'm also particularly sorry I don't have all the knowledge you have and that I am a relative newbie to Ovation guitars.
Also, The Netherlands where I live are a small country with only 2 decent Ovation dealers, so trying the models is not too easy and comparing most of the time is impossible.
Luckily I always understood that stupid questions don't exist, only stupid answers do.
On the other hand I'm glad Al did answer my question in a short but decent way.
Thnx.

Location: NJ | to expand the CVT has more vol and a richer tone to my ears. The smt is a fine guitar also. The CVT also looks great because of the the woven fibers.
Check my website I have several there that may be of interest. |

Location: Scotland | I'm sorry you thought my response was not "decent" it was not intended to be anything but factual. Your search must not have been particularly thorough. For example try a search on this exact phrase: "Adamas CVT or SMT? Help me decide" using the "search" link at the top right of this page. You'll find your question was answered in some depth in an earlier thread. This board has been very active for 18 months and many topics crop up time & time again. I was not being rude, dismissive or "stupid" but merely pointing you in the direction of the information you asked for. |

Thnx for both your replies. And Al, I checked your website. Some nice guitars out there. Are you also allowed to ship new Ovations to Europe? 'Cuz Musiciansfriends.com say they are not.
