Hey guys.

about 8 or 9 years ago i was looking for a new guitar and found a CS257 at a small music shop where i lived. i had played a bunch of Ovations in the past, and this one just felt right... so i bought it. i was told by the owner that it was some special edition... but i didn't care, i liked the way it felt, and wasn't looking to impress anyone with a spiffy guitar.

as the years went on, anyone that saw or played my little Celebrity fell in love just as i had.

so the reason that i am here is because i was told by a friend of mine that he had never seen a Celebrity with a polished headstock... which mine has.

finally curiosity has gotten the best of me and i wanted to know if there really is anything special about this guitar.

its serial # 8059630

Thank you in advance for your help

Is it Black? Alot of the black ones have headstocks that match, I had an all-black CS257.

[I also had a CC44-4 natural color that had a black headstock. I cannot remember if the back of the neck was black or natural, and I cannot find a photo to remind me...duh! ]

That would make you more mature than most of us... welcome aboard.

Take your digital camera to a computer store, or the camera store where you got it, and they should be able to run you through the process pretty easy. If you can't find a friend with a teenager who can show you while rolling his eyes.

I had a CP2001 that had a polished headstock. Those tops are very pretty, too bad they're a laminate though.
