Location: UK | The seller claims it is a Deluxe Balladeer vintage 67/68. Looking at my History of Ovation Guitars the s/n dates it as more like 1981.

Location: Scotland | Even without checking the S/N, the blue label, 2-piece neck & soundhole-end rod adjustment place this guitar in the 80's. A DB from 67/68 would have Grover machines, a 5-piece neck with a simpler inlay pattern, a steeper headstock pitch, an inlaid rosette, shiney bowl, "deluxe" transfer on the headstock, square white label saying "Deluxe Balladeer" but no model number, and a five-point rosewood bridge, also probably a 3-piece top. I may have misssed something but Moody'll pick it up. It won't get anywhere near the opening bid, never mind the reserve. |

It mnust have worked because he lowered his reserve way down!
I think I'd rather wait for the real mccoy though (I'm just a die-hard trekkie at heart)
