As I sat and stared with joy at my Thunderhead, I couldn't help but notice that the pickups on it would appear to be the exact same size as the pickups on my Preacher Deluxe 12 and Viper Deluxe.

While I have no plans to ever change anything about my Thead, has anybody else looked at this?

Paul, I could be wrong but I don't think they will be directly interchangeable without a little modification or making a new pickup surround. They certainly aren't on the Tornado, as I found out when I tried to mount the first Viper pickup I traded from you into mine. The Storm pickups would appear to be interchangeable with other Storm models, but the spacing for the mounting screws are slightly different to Ovation solidbodies.

Dang

Paul, you have ruined/improved one guitar and gotten away with it. Lightning never strikes twice, leave that poor guitar alone and play your other creations. By the way, is your ancester a person by the name of Frankenstien/Kaman, who fiddled with conventional human and guitar design. Reign in those impulses or a torch bearing mob will apppear at your door, half of which will want your vote for governor.
