This is partially to do with appearance but mostly because my rancid sweat rots through gold plating in no time.

Noticed that my Legend has chrome machines, allthough the officiel site lists my model comes with the gold tuners. I guess it depends on the finish, my logo is silver, too. I like the chrome ones. I like the pearloid on the 12-strings....

These are phillips screws. The screws that hold the button to the key are a sloted screw on schaller keys.

They fit perfectly, with no issues. I used the gold screws that were originaly on the guitar since the ones that came from StewMac were silver. With all due respect, you've really got to see the entire guitar to appreciate the look of the the Pearloids. With the fretboard and top binding, the pearloids complete the look (IMHO).

I'll be at the OFC Tour... I'll be the guy in the corner of the hotel lobby singing "Dazed and Confused..."

What gets me, is that I looked really carefully at my older O with Shallers and compared the 2000 with them. Outside of the Ovation icon vs the Shaller icon, they appear identical. Did Shaller lose the rights to their own IP, did they just never protect their design, is Ping hoping Shaller doesn't notice, did they license the design?
